Zombie Run
Brambleton Zombie Run 5k
presented by
The Brambleton Town Center
October 27, 2018 - 5:30pm - 9:00pm
. REGISTRATION OPENS IN JULY
Are you a runner or are you a zombie? You choose! In this slightly scary timed 5k race, you can race through our tunnels and trails dodging zombies or you can live out your nightmares of being a zombie and chase runners while you try and eat their brains (or flags in this case).
HOW IT WORKS
Runners will receive a flag football belt with 3 flags attached. You will be released from the starting line in waves and run along Brambleton's 5k course that weaves along our trails and into the tunnels.
As you make your way, zombies will be there to greet you and try and steal your health (your flags).
There will be two types of zombies
- Chaser Zombies - these zombies are allowed to actually chase you for up to 5 seconds (doesn't seem like much until you have one on your tail).
- Creeping Zombies - these zombies will only lunge at you. They won't chase you down the path but they will be good at blocking the path as you run by.
WAVES/TEAMS
There will be rolling waves of runners leaving from the start line. Wave spots will not be assigned prior to the race. Waves will be approximately 30 people and 3 minutes apart. You will line up along Willowcreek Way prior to the race, staff will pull 30 people from the line up where they will line up in front of the start line and begin the race.
RUNNING WITH SOMEONE - If you would like to run with a group, please be together when you begin lining up along Willowcreek. Staff will ask you how many in your group prior to reaching the start line.
If you are a Zombie Team, we will try and place you on the trail near each other but keep in mind, you might be spread out down the trail.
